Grip fit blinds: These clever roller blinds have a drill-free headbox which has a patented headrail which grips into place.  This eliminates the need for screwing into your recess.

Louvres:  vertical blinds are individual slats or vanes that hang vertically and can be adjusted to control the amount of light and privacy in a room. They are typically made from materials such as fabric, vinyl, or metal, and are connected by a headrail that allows them to be rotated or drawn across a window or door.

Light Filtering: The ability of blinds to allow some natural light to enter a room while still providing privacy.

Skylight blinds: window coverings designed to fit over skylights, which are windows that are installed in the ceiling or roof of a building to provide natural light and ventilation. They can also help control the amount of light and privacy in a room while adding an aesthetic touch to the skylight.

Sustainable-Eco blinds: Blinds which are either made from recycled materials, manufactured in an eco-friendly factory or blinds that help you use less energy when using them ie our Thermal blinds

Roller Shades: Blinds made of a single piece of fabric that can be rolled up and down to control light and privacy.

Roman Shades: Soft fabric blinds that fold neatly into pleats when raised.

Recess size: The inside wall-to-wall measurement of a recess near the window

Rigid PVC vertical blinds: Vertical blinds are made from solid PVC louvres which do not have weights and chains on the bottom of them.  The slats have slightly curved edges and are minimalist

Replacement vertical blind slats: vanes or louvres that are designed to replace damaged or worn slats in an existing set of vertical blinds. They can be easily installed by clipping them into the existing headrail or track of the vertical blinds and can help extend the life of the blinds without the need for a complete replacement.

Tilt: The angle at which blinds slats or vanes can be adjusted to control the amount of light and privacy.

Thermal Blinds: Blinds with a reflective coating on the rear of the fabric help to stop heat loss during the winter and heat gain during the summer.

UV Protection: The ability of blinds to block out harmful ultraviolet rays, protecting furniture and artwork from fading or discolouration.

U value: the measurement of the amount of heat lost by an object, the lower, the better.

Vertical Blinds: Blinds with vertical slats that can be adjusted to control light and privacy, are commonly used for large windows or sliding doors.  Available in 89mm & 127mm slat sizes

Voile blinds :Transparent blinds that are see-through and act like net curtains (allowing you daytime privacy).

Venetian Blinds: consist of horizontal slats that can be adjusted by tilting or rotating, providing control over the amount of light and privacy in a room.

Velux windows: Velux is a popular brand of roof windows, which are installed in slanted or pitched roofs to provide natural light and ventilation.
