PDF of fitting instructions

Outside Recess: If the blind is to be fitted outside the window, ensure that measurement C is the same. C is simply equal to A minus B, divided by two. Follow the instructions for FACE FIXING. Inside Recess: If TOP FIXING, fix to the lintel if the window is uPVC or if there are no obstructions. If FACE FIXING, fit bracket to window frame.

Bracket positioning
B: Bracket Locations
W: Wand Control
L: Ladder Control
C: Cord Control

Place the blind into position and tilt forward to show controls and ladder position. Brackets should be fitted at least 5cm from either side of ladder or wand control.

Top fixing – Standard Bracket

Measure and mark the distance(D), allowing for obstructions like handles that protrude into the recess area. Mark this measurement on the lintel and align the back of the bracket with this line. Fix the bracket into position using the fixing holes.

Venetian blind brackets

For each bracket, starting from one end of the blind:

  1. Press the headrail firmly towards the bracket.
  2. Tilt the headrail down at the back, to clear the rear catches.
  3. Keeping the headrail tilted, pull headrail towards you to clear the front catches.
  4. Repeat for the next bracket, ensuring that the headrail is adequately supported at the free end.

Safety Cleat Fitting Instructions

  • Place safety cleat in the desired location on the wall and mark the position of the two holes using a pencil.
  • We recommend position the cleat to either side of the blind and out of the reach of children.
  • Remove the safety cleat and drill the positions marked.
  • Once the holes are drilled place a Rawlplug into the holes.
  • Use the screws provided to attach the safety cleat to the wall.
Cord cleat

We recommend that the cord is wrapped around the safety cleat when the blind is not in use, as shown in the pictures below.

WARNING

Young children can strangle in the loop of pull cords, chains, and tapes that operate window coverings. They can also wrap the cords around their necks. To avoid the risk of strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of young children. Move beds, cots and furniture away from window covering cords.
